Glug Leeds x CANNT Festival: Creative Passions
- KMAH Radio
- The Brick Box
- Judd Wrighton
Hey Leeds, we're back!
As you know we're passionate about creativity in all its forms — from craft and architecture to UI and UX to branding and advertising — across the spectrum. If its about a means of expression to create an experience we class it as creativity.
Our next Glug, on the theme of 'Creative Passions', will focus on the things that influence creativity, be it studio environment, a particular artist, or the methods used to inspire our speakers. It’ll be an intimate insight into how creative practitioners work the inspiring or focusing environment they creative around them.
Kristan Caryl — KMAH Radio
I've been an electronic music journalist for ten years, writing for the likes of DJ Mag, Mixmag, Resident Advisor and Bandcamp. I co-founded KMAH Radio in 2015 as an excuse to keep on hoarding house, soul, dub, funk and jazz records, as well as giving people in the city a platform to showcase themselves. I occasionally play round Leeds and have my own show, Have You Heard This? To make this all the more fun, I often have my two children around (both under three) as my wife works full time and they haven't started school yet.
Eleanor Barrett — The Brick Box
Eleanor Barrett is the co-director of The Brick Box, an arts organisation at the forefront of culturally driven people led regeneration initiatives, founded in 2010. The company is based in Bradford and works across the UK and internationally. Eleanor has over thirty years experience in the creative industries, boundless enthusiasm and many a story to tell, which she loves to share!
