Clemenger BBDO / Brendan Forster

Bob has had over 10 years experience in start ups and technology companies most notably an 8 year stint at Google and Youtube. There he worked closely with agencies and brands using Google's technology platforms to engage with customers in new and unique ways. Highlights of his work include collaboration on the Optus "Clever Buoy” and Australian Federal Police’s “Missing Person Preroll” that used Youtube to assist in locating missing persons in Australia. Since joining Clemenger BBDO he has worked on campaigns such as the Dolmio Pepper Hacker, Whiskas Catstacam and the new Tourism Australia Aquatic & Coastal campaign and it’s immersive 360° video experiences.

He is a strong believer that when technology and digital platforms are combined with great ideas magic can happen. As Head of Creative Technology at Clemenger BBDO Sydney Bob works to ensure the agency stays on the bleeding edge of the creative opportunities technology presents.

Edelman / Fern Canning-Brook

With almost 20 years in the industry, Fern has a career spanning public relations, social media, brand strategy, sponsorship, experiential and content development in UK, US and Australia.

Edelman was recently named by the Holmes Report a Global Agency of the Year, and topping this year’s Global Creative Index. Their award-winning creative work in Australia includes Samsung BrainBAND, LifeLive and Slideliner, the LAB experiment from Best&Less, the humerous Missile Moments from U by Kotex and the much- applauded NIVEA sun campaign.  Fern leads teams working on brands including Samsung, Telstra, KFC, Huggies, NIVEA, Disney, Expedia, Adobe and Kleenex to name a few.

Fern ditched all thoughts of a career in law at age 14, when she read an article about a PR director married to the England Rugby Captain. PR seemed like a pretty awesome job.  After that, she worked as an intern in many London-based agencies and experienced the reality of the industry – which didn’t put her off - before landing her ultimate internship with the #1 agency before going to Uni (proving that tenacity pays off). Since then, she has worked on many brands including Audi, Mercedes Benz, Peroni Nastro Azzuro, Budweiser, Playstation, Baileys, Pantene, Olay, Max Factor, Nutella, VW, Tourism Australia and Red Bull.

She spent several years working on global brand strategy, creative and campaign development for P&G, Diageo and SAB Miller brands, including negotiating major brand partnerships, influencer management and content creation before moving to Australia.

Incidentally, Fern did meet the world-cup winning England Rugby Captain, but ended up marrying an Aussie instead.

Pete’s earliest films, shot on his Dad’s handy-cam were horror flicks made with props from the easter show. Years later, with a background in writing, photography and magazines as an editor-in-chief, he fell into filmmaking in 2008 when a short film he collaborated on, aired on Triple J TV.

Since then he’s shot lamas in the Andes, chased crocodiles through swamps in Mexico, balanced 20 contemporary dancers upon a moving travelator and fitted a Subaru with a Wah Wah peddle for an accelerator.

He’s worked with the likes of Cate Blanchett, Tame Impala, Wolfmother, Noah Taylor, artists’ John Olsen, Reg Mombassa, The Australian Chamber Orchestra and David Lachapelle, for brands like MTV, Virgin, Redbull, Bonds, Modular Records and Vodafone on campaigns across both film and photography.

His work has been officially selected for film festivals around the world and he is currently in post-production on a short film that follows a Cuban band through Havana.
